Our Office Manager, JoAnne Hicks, began working in the Accounting Field as her father?s secretary at ?Boyd F. Butler Accounting?. She always thought she wanted to be a teacher, but found the accounting gene was in her blood. She went back to school to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting. She worked for 11 years as ?Shopko?s Cash Office Specialist?. She enjoyed counting money, making deposits and reconciling registers. When the opportunity became available, she jumped at the chance to work with her brother Mel at ?Butler Tax & Accounting?. This is her 5th year working with us. She has become very efficient in the accounting program ?Quick Books?. It will be a different experience not having Mel here, as he is retiring, but she is excited to continue working with his sons, Paul, Mark, and Russell as her ?bosses?. She knows the same level of honesty, integrity, and fun will still be here. JoAnne, is the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 9 including newborn twins, Tyrus and Layla. When she isn?t working, she enjoys boating, riding her motorcycle, and spoiling her grandkids.
