FREE TAX
FILING?
At Butler Tax and Accounting, it is our
privilege to serve you.
Each year some people come to our office who have tried
to prepare their own returns using free or inexpensive
computer software only to discover later they had missed
tax credits, deductions or other tax savings we found
for them. In some instances these mistakes have cost
them thousands and thousands of dollars.
We anticipate even more problems this year as these
software programs were prepared and distributed prior to
the new law changes. Considering the cost, time, and
energy wasted trying to learn the program, answer the
questions correctly, getting updated versions of the
program, and the worry of it being done correctly, most
have found that it is just not worth the “savings” in
the long or short run!
